HOT SPOT *

The original and inventive cuisine from the Australian chef, Amanda Gale takes center stage at the two restaurants in the Metropolitan Bangkok. Cy’an serves up a Moorish theme in the pared down, modern white place facing hotel’s pool. The Glow upstairs is more like an open eatery and juice bar for the health conscious person demanding a fresh and nutritious bite and appropriately located adjacent to Shambhala retreat.

SLEEK SLEEPS

The British chic Metropolitan in London has a sibling in town, morphed into an eastern slick with Zen calm and tucked away in a quiet street of Sathorn Road. The interior accented with local materials and paintings from young Thai artist, Natee Utarit. The 174 guest rooms with interior larger than many other Bangkok hotels fulfilled the techno travelers with high-speed broadband internet access, flat screen TV and DVD/CD player, the signature of the well-known Singaporean interior designer Kathryn Kng.
